webcast

Last weekend, Scan Pro Video proudly sponsored Bolton Music Service’s sell out Christmas Concerts by providing video production facilities and a live webcast to family & friends unable to attend. Viewed by hundreds nationally and as far away as America and Australia, proud grandparents, far-flung friends and ex Music Service pupils (now studying at University) were able to watch the ensembles perform – on iOS devices, laptops and computers – and interact via our integrated Chat Room and social media. The young people played brilliantly, parents clapped with pride & joy, but the real success story of the event was the demonstration of digital technology in the service of the Arts & the community at large; a means rather than an end. This was Real World live broadcasting, with the full complement of tech issues – Wi-Fi drop out, downed Chat Room servers, corrupted SD cards – all wonderfully over shadowed by the very real emotion on display and the effect the interactive media brought to the proceedings. The players waved to the viewers at home, who immediately shared their embarrassment at spontaneously waving back at the screen via chat room message, so powerful was the sense of engagement. Camera men were hugged, Tweets and letters of thanks flowed as freely as the tears of joy.

How can you engage with your audience on this level? We bring simple, practical solutions and training to our clients to make sure that they can make the most of what web broadcasting has to offer. You produce examples of excellence every day, and with the chance of sharing your success story, why wouldn’t you want to? You can’t afford not to talk to Scan Pro Video about how you can benefit. Web casting is the future, for gigs, for events, for CPD, for distance or inclusive learning, for product demonstrations.

You decide the level of production value your audience will expect – from a single iPad or iPhone streaming to your social media channel or a full multi camera shoot with vision mixing, graphics and dedicated server. For the Bolton Music Service event we chose a single camera (AG-AC90) and the Teradek VidiU to demonstrate the simplicity of webcasting: The technology is extremely user friendly; you literally press a button to “GoLive”. There are as many technical configurations to choose from as there are organisations, schools, churches or events, and we are happy to guide you to the perfect bespoke solution. We are industry experts who know what you need to keep your business competitive and on the technology curve.
